ATLaS is in connection with ICL, the International Consortium on Landslides, a network of 89 scientific organizations in 34 countries. The principal ICL objectives are to: promote landslide research for the benefit of society and the environment; integrate geosciences and technology within the appropriate cultural and social contexts in order to evaluate landslide risk in urban, rural and developing areas including cultural and natural heritage sites; coordinate international expertise in landslide risk assessment and mitigation studies; promote a global, multidisciplinary programme on landslides, the International Programme on Landslides (IPL).

ATLaS, in collaboration with the UNESCO Chair on the Prevention and Sustainable Management of Geo-Hydrological Hazards, is also involved in other international scientific networking for the landslide risk reduction: International Consortium on Geo-disaster Reduction (ICGdR) and Global Alliance of Disaster Research Institutes (GADRI).
