Research activities
The ATLaS IR activities focus on:
- Prediction and prevention of hydrogeological risks;
- Emergency response and restoration;
- Education and training activities;
- Knowledge dissemination and risk education;
- Development of regional landslide forecasting models;
- Utilization of Earth Observation (EO) data and technology for the detection, mapping, monitoring, and forecasting of ground deformations;
- Enhancement of resilience through non-structural risk management approaches;
- Networking and International exchanges through the involvement in several international consortia on landslide risk reduction;
- Development of innovative technologies for landslide monitoring and early warning systems;
- Citizen science and open-science activities.
